Zusammenfassung: This diploma thesis surveys the problem of how to determine and judge the responseof wooden cultural property to humidity variations. Based on a large-scaled literature survey several parameters are introduced which allow a description of the hygroscopic reaction and quantum of the material wood. No overall values are being recommended. Instead there are methods being introduced of how to get an access to a more differentiated and individual look at the influence of relative humidity to cultural property made of wood.
