As part of the bachelor thesis, the gallery window in the Ehrenhalle of the GermanischesNationalmuseum in Nuremberg created by Georg Meistermann in 1967 was thoroughly examined on its condition. As a result of regular condensation on the inside of the glazing as well as the steel frame construction, it was necessary to discuss different options for climatic optimisation.Furthermore, investigations on the object itself and research for general information about the window were collected and evaluated. This includes the search for the primary sources on the commission of the window. Based on cleaning samples, a concept for the basic and necessary measures are created, which must precede any further option for climatic optimisation.
