| Zusammenfassung: | This Bachelor‐ thesis deals with the analysis of the existence and condition of a renaissance relief at a museum in Erfurt. This relief shows a standing lion and looks out of the lapidarious of the Erfurt city museum. Perhaps it was built at the time of the completion of the Stotternheim Palace (“Stotternheimer Palais”), which was built in the inner‐city of Erfurt in the year 1612. The building was destroyed through a fire in 1660. Today a commercial building Hugendubel exists at this location. Perhaps the relief is made out of Seeberger sandstone. In the context of the Bachelorthesis a description will be made about the stone with the argument that it originated at this particular site, using the evidence of the damages done to the stone. In the end there will be a discussion about the methodological considerations and the future technical implementations. |
