Overview:

Abstract: The following thesis aims to discover the effects of a plasma treatment on a set of selected pigments. With regard to previous research work two sets of low temperature atmospheric pressure plasma were explored for this test series. Pigments were applied to microscope slides and treated with plasma. The samples were then stored in two different climatic environments for four weeks. Afterwards the samples were examined regarding optical or structural changes via several analytical methods and subsequently evaluated. The results showed, that plasma treatment had minor to no effects on the tested pigments within the limitation of the examination. Emerging changes of pigments were documented and discussed in this thesis.
