Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: The improperly repaired Plan of Waterworks Elze was presented as an object of study in the workshop of the study Writings, book and graphic, to find a method to remove additions and stabilization added with Klucel® G. A particular challenge arises from the material’s characteristics of the plan, pursuant to which a restoration plan is created. The material is a manufactured pulp paper, with watercolor drawings and ink entries and notes.
This thesis includes a theoretical introduction to the materials, the importance of the documentation of operations as well as the ethics of restoration. Further, solution approaches on sample objects have been made and the results have been applied to the Plan of the Waterworks Elze.
