Abstract: The restoration of gypsum containing masonry with non sulphate compatible building materials caused serious damages by swelling minerals. This thesis paper deals with the possibilities of alternative materials for the consolidation of gypsum containing masonry. For this reason laboratory trials were carried out to investigate the usage of gypsum mortars as a filling material for masonry grouting.
