Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to develop a restoration concept for a chimney lintel broken in two parts.
For this purpose, an inventory and condition documentation is created and the object is examined with the help of UV- induced luminescence and microscopically. It is discussed which presentation possibilities exist and which advantages or disadvantages these bring along.
The investigations were able to provide information about the object´s history and manufacturing techniques. Finally, a restoration concept was developed and a reversible, non-invasive presentation option in the form of a steel support construction was recommended.
