Abstract: | This work focuses on research for the use of ORMOCER® Glass as an additive for outdoor glazed ceramics. The Evaluation of the inorganic-organic hybridpolymer is based on its physical and optical properties in long-term resistance. The investigation´s test phase was planned by using ceramical test specimens, which emulate the original materiality of historical glazed ceramics on a building in Leipzig from 1903. Based on the findings from the author’s bachelor thesis, more detailed investigations will be carried out on the constitution and condition of the reference object. The use of ORMOCER® Glass as an additive in the conservation and restoration practice is investigated. The investigations are carried out under varying conditions, namely with different mixtures with various pigments and different types of artificial weathering. |
