The theme of this bachelor thesis is ´´A Maria-Theresa candelabra from Friedenstein Castle, Gotha. Restorative examination, inventory and condition recording and measures conception´´. Taking a look at the history of Schloss Friedenstein, the development and iconography of chandeliers and chandeliers is discussed. A detailed examination of Maria Theresa candlesticks and the special features of the glass fittings completes the general part. A description and research on the history of the object, in addition to the material analysis of the first steps in the restoration practice, followed by a stock and condition recording. The objective and measures concept was implemented in the form of a model axis. This is illustrative and provides a basis for discussion to determine the final restoration measures.
