This bachelor thesis deals with an architectural ground finding of a Roman wall version from the excavation area of t he Cologne town hall. The fresco painting shows remnants of a white-ground linear frame decoration. The aim of t his work was to capture the status and condition of the Roman wall by means of scientific investigations and to conserve it by conservation measures. In the process, first insights into the technological execution as well as approaches of a stylistic classification of the wall fragment could be worked out.
