The present master thesis deals with a historical glass service from Cecilienhof Country House, Potsdam. Several of these glasses are broken but the ´´Stiftung Preußische Schlösser und GärtenBerlin Brandenburg would like to show them in the special exhibition “Postsdam Conference 1945 - Shaping the World´´. The object history is examined, also material, the current condition, themanufacturing techniques, the damge and its causes are recorded and documented as the basis for developing the concept for conservation and restoration. The focus is on gluing the fragments and the filling of the defect is discussed. Selected strategies are tested and applied to 2 objects.
