Abstract: | Abstract: Broadsheets are defined as paper objects that are bigger than DIN A0 (841 x 1189 mm) this is equivalent to 33,11 x 46,81 Inches. Broadsheet maps or construction plans face all institutions like archives, libraries or collections with huge challenges, because the daily use, transport and storage apply different standards as for normal ratings. With increasing frequency conservators and archivists consider the problem in books and published works. This bachelor thesis will pay attention to the usual storage methods and their assessments in the relevant literature. Coevally accrues a conservation concept and a storage advice for a broadsheet map of the city archive of Hildesheim named “Karte der städtischen Wiesen und Weiden”. |
