Abstract: | The aim of the following thesis is the development of an appropriate conservation treatment for a waterlogged roman well. The applied material should primarily preserve the wooden structure, but should also be suitable for exhibitions. Here it should keep the wood from shrinking and deforming. For this purpose polyethylene glycol and melamine resin are examined. After careful consideration and comparing advantages and disadvantages a decision for one of these materials is made. |
