Abstract: | The so called „Frauenchor“ is located in the ancient cloister of Kirchheim am Ries. The wall‐paintings on the north wall of this room are the centre of this diploma thesis. They are originated around the year 1400 and they show eight parts of desultorily iconographic imagery. Extensive analysis about inventory and condition where made within the scope of the diploma thesis. They show that the paintings are urgent endangered because of cavernous plastering. In due of stabilization, the paintings are consolidated and the cavernous plastering was backfilled. Especially endangered zones need an extra structural consolidation and deformations will be also reshaped. In addition to the conservation an exemplary area is further restored. |
