Abstract: The walls of the Green Glasscabinet in the New Palace of Potsdam are displayed with glas sherds reverse-painted in green, imitating the semi-precious stone chrysoprase. Practically the objects structure and condition were surveyed which leads to a conservation concept. As a future public exhibition of the cabinet is planned, a presentation proposal based on the local conditions was elaboratet.
Theoretically the Glasscabinets technology of procedure is investigated and references to selected methods of glass application in architecture are examined.
