Abstract: This paper deals with the preservation of the original plaster of the former airport building Butzweilerhof in Cologne. The task was to developing a concept wich makes it possible in consideration of ecofriendly solutions to save partly seriously damaged external plaster of the building. An important question was a carefully removal of damaged non-historically and harmful paint layers. Plus a new binding of detached plaster layers and refasten of short plaster areas in supplementation of missing areas. Also I had to conceive a supplement plaster. Research on test-pieces should prove the supplementary mortar with the aid of continuative practicable tests. For these purposal two test areas have been taken. The expanse became a adequate coat of painting to obtain an uniform appearance.
