| Abstract: | In this thesis a study to ascertain cellulose, lignin and nutrient contents of ancient papyrus in context of quality and find spot was undertaken. Papyrus of seven different find spots were taken to compare the contents with qualitay aspects. The analytical determination included tests of essential nutrients (K, Ca, Mg, Si, Fe, Mn, P, N) which are important for the growth of Cyperus papyrus L. Analysis indicates a wide range of variation in nutrient and lignin content to rely on find spot and make different quality criteria traceable. |
