Abstract: The sientific works of the famous painting technician professor Kurt Wehlte (1897-1973) were donated to the Academy of Fine Arts Dresden by his son in November 2000. Also it is not complet the collection comprises a variety of differend records of all his seven working fields covering decade’s timespan. It includes the fields of painting techniques and their investigation (in paticular with X-ray technology), forensic reporting, conservation, colortheory and personal art works. This report informs about Wehlte’s biographical data followed by introduction into his scientific works with the focus on the records discription. On the basis of the specific database conception for structuring and capturering the records is given. It is considered to store the records recording to their objekt types.
