Abstract: For prevention before damage to museum objects the room air cleaning is of great importance. Therefore restorers should possess knowledge of air cleaning system. Air cleaning equipments bend possible attacks by pollutants forwards and protect particularly against inevitable dust formation. They create in addition a constant climate and replace the room climate-destructive ventilation by the window opening. With this work I would like to offer manual for handling air cleaners. I hope that thereby a decision for the acquisition of an adequate air cleaner in museums can be facilitated.
