Abstract: | The proposed paper investigates ways of conducting internet research specifically for Preventive Conservation. It shall suggest ways to find the most reliable, valid and expert information through internet research. Being a comprehensive topic, Preventive Conservation includes important subject areas such as climate, prevention of damage from light, transport etc. Since the middle of the 1990s risk assessment and risk management turned out to be of major importance. Public relations, and especially climate will also gain in importance in the future, particularly in regard to global climate change. In the introduction the paper will outline the concept of Preventive Conservation and give an overview of the historical evolution of Preventive Conservation. This will be followed by a methodical introduction to internet based research and finally an example of a commented link collection. |
