Overview:

Abstract: The diploma thesis deals with the triptych Diluviaal bewijs of the Dutch artist Eduard Heijmans from 1961 as part of the Lindenau-Museum Altenburg. A particularity for the approach to the conservation and restoration are the different materials applied to the paintings, such as cork, ivory, animal teeth, canvas, rope and a sawfish jaw. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the painting technique used by Heijmans between the years 1958 and 1972.
