This thesis describes the development of a concept for the conservation and restoration of a gothic mural in a 13th century building in Grimma (Saxonia/Germany). Basis is the examination of the inventory and of the damages. The mural done in lime technique is mostly covered by lime coatings. The already uncovered areas are very damaged. This makes an exact classification of creation time and content impossible.
