Zusammenfassung: Columns of red nodular limestone (ammonitico rosso, Knollenkalke), located in the courtyard of the “Alte Münze” in Munich had been examined by ultrasonic velocity measurements during the conservation procedure in 1995. Those recognised as statically endangered and consequently stabilized with plugs or injections, were recently re-examined by ultrasonic velocity measurements. These new data were compared with those of 1995 and the former conservation results were optically rejugded. Furthermore the new ultrasonic velocity measurement results were Fourier-transformed to figure out possible correlations between the Fouriertransformation and the alteration behaviour of red nodular limestone. Fourier-transformed ultrasonic signals has been tested as a further diagnostically method for non-destructive deterioration-analysis.
