Subject of the diploma thesis is the investigation of the art technology of this painting and his restoration history. It has been taken of his original wooden support and was transmitted on a canvas in the 19th century. This is why the techniques of transmission of supports is one of the focusses. Another subject is attribution, the age dating and the localisation of the painting which has a scratched signature with the name of the famous artist Andrea Mantegna.
