Zusammenfassung: Abstract
A problem with the application of mineral-containing mortar to hydrophobic surface of historical objekt was identified. As a result in the following work test were made to use modified lime slurries as a bonding agent. In connection with the Hubertus Capel, which has a hydrophobic surface on its outside relif, lime slurries were modified with various non-ionic surfactants. The lime slurries and mortar were tested on hydrophobic and hydrophilic slabs of sandstone (Schilfsandstein).
A measurement of the determination of the bond shear strength took place befor and after a freeze-thaw-cycling-test.
The results of the mesaurement showed that there was a higher bond shear strength on the hydrophobic surfaces, as well as an increase after the freeze-thaw-cycling-test.
Furthermore the surfactants showed an impact on the carbonation process of lime. This was mad visible by tinting with phenolohthalein.
