Susan Albrecht: Material-scientific characterization of tear mending stabilization techniques back

Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: This thesis will examine whether it is possible to prove in a standardised form the quality of tear mending by using a material-scientific test-method. Based on a standardised paper and under standardised conditions various influencing factors will be analyzed. Under consideration of the current state of research on adhesives, Japanese Paper, drying process and climatic conditions, a standardised model can help, that mechanical, chemical and optical aspects do not only correspond on a subjectiv perception but also lead to comparable scientific results. The result of this thesis will not be a complete analysis because only a few factors can be analyzed. It can, however, serve as the foundation for further research.
