Luise Schreiber: German stucco work of the renaissance - The stamp -and model stucco decoration in middle germany. Back
Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: Starting up with the registration of stock and condition of room 3.01 on the 2nd floor in the “Hohes Haus” of the castle Beichlingen, the work on the dissertation object began in September`02.
The examining results got documented, evaluated and graphically shown in a plan.
Because of that it came to some measures like the installation of a provisional ceiling, the dismantling of a fire protective door as well as the show of the wall painting and the cleaning and conservation of the stucco design.
The future presentation of the room will be discussed in 3 variations.
Assuming the specific manufacturing methods of the Beichlinger model stucco decoration it seemed
logical to look for comparative examples to classify the Beichlinger design correctly.
Out of 20 already known, conservated objects of this type in middle germany, it was possible to visit 15, which have proved obvious parallels in representation manner, design and used materials.
