Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: Dry mud, an intrinsic component of a costume worn by Klaus Kinski in the film “Cobra Verde”, had to be consolidated to enable the costume to be shown in the exhibition “I, Kinski”. The consolidation of the powdering mud layer was carried out using Klucel E® (1,5% in ethanol) and the ultrasonic mister “Minivernebler W/A/VnII®”. Lose flakes were adhered by injecting Klucel E®v (15% in ethanol) beneath them. For the display on a slant in a closed show case corrugated cardboard was cut to follow exactly the outline of each costume item, padded with cotton domette and covered with cotton jersey dyed to match.
