Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: The narrow gauge revision coach of the Upper Silesian railway company was overpainted in the beginning of the 1980s when it had already been part of a museum collection for many decades. At first, this thesis tries to reveal the circumstances of the last paint finish through historic research, in order to determine the initial surface. On the basis of these results it secondly deals with the subject of large-area uncovering under conservation aspects in theory and practice. In order to meet with the possible losses of the revealed surface a concept for retouching is worked out
in the third part.
