Abstract: The diploma thesis contains the research, consolidation and conservation of the painting „Auferstehung Christi” (Resurrection of Christ) from 1562. The painting is from the workshop of Lucas Cranach the Younger. Based on the knowledges of the research, a conception for the consolidation and conservation was established. The main focus was the handling of a conservation treatment, carried out in the second half of the 20th century, where the original panel was partially mounted on a wood core plywood.
