Abstract: Monitoring is used in the industry since a long time and begins to play a more important role within the conservation-restoration of cultural heritage and fine arts. This Bachelor-Thesis aims a comfortable entry into this complex and divers topic. The main focus are the targets and requirements for monitoring processes. This Thesis shall support to collect and systematically analyze the required data. Due to the dependent and interfering parameters this topic has a very high complexity and requires further research. Monitoring enables the possibilities of collecting influencing parameter and gain a better understanding of alteration-processes. Target is to preserve the original substance earlier and even more sustainable.
