Overview:

Abstract: This Bachelor-Thesis delivers a concept of measures for the preservation and restoration of two medieval stained-glass panels from Ulm Minster, depicting St. Dorothea and dated 1415/20.
Following a discussion of the iconography and the arrangement of the presentation, a short description of the 'Kutteltürfenster' is being given. Next to the mandatory documentation of the extant and condition of the panels, this thesis covers also earlier preservation and restoration measures as well as changes carried out over the course of time. The concept of measures established on this basis serves the aim of installing the stained glass window after its conservation again in its original location and thus closing a void caused by an unfortunate incidence.
