Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: This thesis is about the difficulties of desalination glazed terracotta. In conformity on a former weathered, glazed renaissance-termed terracotta-objekt from Lüneburg there are made test pieces with typical decay phenomena, caused by weathering and salt-weathering. An efficient and at the same time careful desalination-method can be developed by means of test pieces. Therefore three following methods had been compared: desalination in static bath, desalination by directed advective flow (partial bath and poultice) and a method according to directed advective flow, but by means of steam-chamber. All this methods turned out to be effective. The method by means of steam-chamber seems to be a quite promising and gently one.
