Wiebke Rauschenplat: Read and Represent tracks. Examples of non-destructive material investigations on graphics of the Albrecht Haupt collection Back
Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: This work deals with the traces of papermaking, printing and drawing techniques and traces of usage on graphics of the collection Albrecht Haupt. The ambition is to make it clear that traces can be lost to the viewer when looking at a reproduction instead of the original.
To make this possible we first look for options to make the traces visible without damaging the original. In the next chapters the development of the traces will be descripted as well as the traces of the graphics will be shown. Finally, we look for a possibility to show the traces to visitor in an exhibition under conservatory aspects.
