Abstract: This Master thesis deals with seven baroque wooden sculptures from the city hall of Lüneburg as well as the issue of whether the objects are of the same origin or not. Beforehand the seven sculptures have been examined, conserved and documented by students of the HAWK Hildesheim. The currant Master thesis reviews and compares the results and furthermore engages in more examinations and further analyses. The observations and results are being compared to reach a conclusion regarding the affiliation of the seven objects. However, the results are inconclusive and therefore, while it is possible to match some of the sculptures, it is not possible to state whether all objects belong to one ensemble. Instead there is more than one possible affiliation. This is followed by a recommendation for the future storage and possible exhibition of the seven sculptures in Lüneburg.
