Abstract: The following paper contains the design of a concept for conservation of the wall paintings of the renascence period of the castle in Parz. The basics were given by a stockage of information about the object. The studies were comleted by extensive series of scientific tests and enviromental readings. The main point of the conservation was the consolidation of the paint layer and the exchange of modern plaster. Within the theoretical part of the paper the restoration campaign of the 1990th has been evaluated.
