Overview:

Abstract: As part of this study, the damaged construction and veneer of the Spinet-Regal-Game board made by Anton Meidting (Augsburg 1587) - mainly a result of unfavourable climatic conditions – were restored. The controlled reshaping of the deformed spinet-lid was the main focus of the restoration. In addition to the restoration measures, a detailed structural survey and construction analysis with focus on technical details of instrument making were carried out.
