Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: This thesis deals with the restorative analysis and saving of a Cuban domestic radio, which was made 1957.
It primary concerns with the examination of the transparent coating und states briefly about historic features of the material. First, the mentioned examination was made with a reference piece, namely the cover flap of the Cuban domestic radio, which belongs to the Bomann-museum of Celle. This works as a basis for the upcoming evaluation.
The research consists of macroscopic observation with UV- and VIS-light via Technoscope® device. For the determination of the transparent coating, a solvent test and nitro verification (using diphenylamine) was made.
In contrast, grindings are not addressed in this thesis. Technical devices or tools are not a part of the research. Nevertheless, the conclusion presents the final result of the research and provides a proposal of a possible presentation of the Cuban domestic radio.
