Abstract: The bachelor thesis deals with tool marks of four medieval wooden sculptures from the 15th and 16th century.

At first the sculptures are studied for tool marks and the relevant literature is consulted for hints of tools that were used during the relevant time. Than according to the selected sculptures samples are reproduced by using the compatible tools.

Finally the obtained findings are evaluated to establish what tools and productions methods are likely to have been used to produce the four sculptures.
