Abstract: This paper addresses the preservation and restoration of a floor plan, which has been manufactured upon the method of Cyanotyping. The floor plan was first published in 1906 and is now courtesy of the State Archive Berlin.

On the theoretical part, the paper deals with Cyanotypes in its cultural-historical context, its use and fabrication. Based on the objects documentation, state description and material analysis an adequate concept of restoration will be developed. Hereby, the focus will be on the recreation of the missing part.

On the practical part, apart from the restoration of said floor plan, a new paper will be created with the use of Cyanotyping. The result will be used to substitute the missing piece of the map. Following to these two main parts, the technical aspects to the restoration of Cyanotypes will be discussed in general.
