Language: Original   -   Translation
Abstract: Could craquelure patterns make a statement about the composition of the lacquer and help with the task of attribution of an object? To answer this question, this text creates a survey on the studies of craquelure in transparent coatings on wooden surface. For this purpose previous publications, especially from the discipline of painting conservation are summarized and compared to the publications from the discipline of furniture conservation. There is a catalog of pictures and descriptions of craquelure in transparent coatings on wooden surfaces.
