Overview:
Abstract: The restoration documents of Buxheimer choir stalls are sorted into several folders. This Bachelor thesis is processed for the systematisation and evaluation of documents for future research and applications. The documents are classified into three main points: construction, sculptural works and surface treatment. These are sorted chronologically according to their content. The originals can be found in the annexion. Onto the surface treatment special light is shed because the original procedure is unknown. The information of the surface treatment could help to solve problems such as a current microbial infestation and change a dissatisfying appearance of the stalls. All collected documents of the folders and information from secondary data can help to clarify these problems and to complete missing information of the choir stalls’ restoration history.
