Using the example of a central pastel portrait from the Georg August University Göttingen, this thesis will examine the area of conflict between the restricted susceptibility to treatment and the aesthetic demands. Methods for the conservation will be discussed. From the different alternatives for the handling of the microbiological infestation, one will be adapted to the object an executed.
