Overview:

Abstract: The Fürstenloge at kings hall in the Frauenzimmerbau in the castle of Heidelberg has at the time of building between 1510 and 1520 bee the main site of the monarchs table an d has therefore been fitted with a costly natural branchvault. Reincurring destruction from various wars reduced the sculpted Neckartäler Sandstone to four pillars. In the 1930s a gypsum vaultunder a concrete ceiling was introduced. Incoming water led to damage in the form of disintegration and cristallation of ionc contents of the building materials. The investigation of a sacifice mortar and moulds with Perlit aggregate as well as supporting treatments led to the description of the conservation concept. The realized concept aon an example area allows calculations to invite suitable entries for competition.
