Abstract: The coffin from Abusier el-Meleq is dated in the ptolemaic period consists of lid and box in antropoid shapeed. The technique of fabrication of the coffin, its condition and earlier conservation have been examined on which the conservation programm was deduced. The conservation was carried out on the coverpanel of the coffin lid. Due to the very bad condition of the partly desmanteled coffin considerations were made for presenation of the coffin and its mummy with cartonage mask.
