| Abstract: | This thesis focuses on a manuscript by Johann Friedrich Armand von Uffenbach that contains recipes for the production of incarnate colors according to the four temperaments. After creating and evaluating a reconstruction of the recipes, the thesis makes a comparison with historical source texts by renowned authors such as Theophilus Presbyter, Cennino Cennini, and Giovanni Paolo Lomazzo. The pigments and color nuances are then compared. This comparison will make it possible to further classify source texts on incarnate colors in the future. |
