Abstract: The subject of this diploma thesis are the murals of the children´s book author Lisa-Marie Blum
from the late 1930s. The murals are located in a former air raid shelter in Berlin. A conservation
and restoration concept for the murals included protecting them from further material loss and
restoring their legibility. In addition, oil coatings were also reduced and missing areas integrated.
