Abstract: The subject of this diploma project concerns seven fragments of old Egyptian limestone reliefs. These come from the sun temple of King Niuserre at 2400 before Christ. Today they belongt to Dresden Skulpturensammlung.
The thesis includes a research into history of the objects, the analysis and documentation on current materials and conditions. Another point describs a conservation and restoration concept with regards to the preservation of the original substance.
