Zusammenfassung: The method of filling gaps in hollow archaeological glassobjects with polymer sheets is usually a very complex process. This thesis deals with the comparison of different polymers with regard to their conservational suitability
as a weight bearing gap filling. The comparison will be made on the example of a modern Passglas from the historic potash glass factory "Unter dem Hilsborn". The aim is to find a method that is both specifically tailored to the
Passglas and can be universally adapted to other objects and their specific requirements.
